Our place by the water. Coffee, beach food and easy summer evenings, with the sea doing most of the decorating.
The story
The Hungry Whale came first. In 2022, we just wanted to serve good coffee on the beach and do it properly. Coffee, homemade food and the people who came back gave us the confidence to grow. One small place by the sea became the beginning of everything that followed.
Salt on your skin. Coffee in your hand. Nowhere else to be.
Summer evenings by the water
Sourdough pizza by the ocean every Friday.
Friday evenings return with the summer holidays. For now, the Whale is hibernating. See you next season.

The rhythm of the day
Seasonal and weather-led. The best plan is to look outside, then head east.
Good coffee after a dip or a walk along the beach
Food made properly at Veranda, then prepared and served on the beach
Dogs are welcome too.

Monday–Tuesday: Closed
Wednesday–Sunday: 9am–3pm
Kitchen serves until 2:30pm.
Our season ends in late September. Check for weather-related changes before visiting.

Free off-street parking is available nearby.
By bus
Take route 1, 1A, 1G or 2. The stop is directly in front of Long Beach, just a few metres from us.
